Nothing but darkness surrounds Marcia Anne Tallington as she's heading through the tunnel, looking for the hidden lab of Viper's # 1 scientist, Professor Vice. Her partner, Blaze, a woman M.A.T. is not sure what to think of. They first met when Blaze saved her life, protecting her from Rufus Schwarzkreuz. Marcia remembers this day. It was the one and only time ever since she started hunting down her former best friend that he acually went for the kill on her. Blaze was there when she was defeated, injuring the Shadow Stalker and bringing her, Marcia, to the hospital. That day M.A.T. felt very bad. She can't stand being saved, protected like some little girl, but that day it was necessary. She now owes Blaze her life and she respects her for that. But on the other hand she heard that her mysterious raven-haired partner actually also teamed up with the same man she's after, Rufus Schwarzkreuz. Why, Marcia couldn't care less. And ironically that's the only thing she can think of right now, as they are staggering through this dark, smelly emptiness. Then suddelny ...
"It's a f**king dead end!"
Marcia can't believe it! Her legs are aching from the long march, for hours nothing but rats and darkness and now out of a sudden they find themselves infront of a massive wall. Mad as hell M.A.T. makes a fast step forward and kicks it. They don't call her "Lady Lethal" for nothing.
"F**king sh*t!"
"Calm down!" Blaze says.
She means it, but her word have exactly the opposite effect.
"Oh, calm down my ass!" Marcia yells.
"We'll find another way."
Blaze's optimism drives the fierce redhead insane.
"You go first!" she responds in an angry manner.
"Again? Are you affraid I could backstab you?" Blaze wonders.
Does she? M.A.T. doesn't know for sure herself. She prefers to trust nobody ... but what about Blaze? Should she really distrust the woman who saved her life?
"As long as you're willing to work together with scum like Schwarzkreuz, I won't turn my back on you as well!"
The words just came out of her mouth. But before she can even think of if it was wise to say this or not, something happens.
Suddenly a steel tentacle explodes out of the darkness, completely catching the two gunslingers off guard. Blaze would've been able to sense it comming, if she wasn't that tired and distracted by Marcia's tirades. Neither of them is able to react in time. Before she knows why, M.A.T. stares down in disbelieve, seeing the cold steel wrapping around her body like a huge snake. She feels Blaze's shoulders pressed against hers and she knows she f**ked up. At first she's trying to fight back, but the tentacle seems to react on movement, squeezing the two ladies tighter together the more they struggle.
"You're saying?" Blaze gasps in a sarcastic manner.
"I was saying what?" Marcia responds.
"Something about not turning your back on me ... you do now."
Marcia snarls and rolls eyes in response.
"We've got our f**kin' clown hat on today, do we? STFU!"
The tentacles pulls it's grasp even tighter around the two and then starts lifting them up into a dark core they didn't even knew was there. Now it looks as if Professor Vice is expecting the duo.
